Back from WPPI 2008!

WOW!
I just got home from spending the last 4 days at WPPI in Las Vegas and seriously, wow! WPPI stands for Wedding and Portrait Photographers International and they put on the largest convention and tradeshow in the industry each year with over 10,000 photographers attending from around the globe! My days and nights were packed with education and seminars from the TOP and most talented photographes in the nation, learning all kinds of new ideas I can bring back to improve and grow my business - and pass on to all of you!

I am soooooooooooo excited to start implementing some of my new ideas and provide new products to my wonderful clients, you will be excited too! :)

Keep watch in May for the launch of two new sites - one of them will be an updated version of my current site and the other will be something entirely new and different altogether - some of you have been let in on the secret! :) Keep watch for details, I'm a little ways off for the big unveiling.

Thanks again for checking in - I will be posting a few photos from some recent sessions soon after I get a chance to unpack and unwind. Take care!

Yogi birthday!

I was so lucky to be a part of Miss G's 6th birthday celebration last weekend! Wow, what a party! All the guests got these cute pink matching tees among a lot of other great favors! An amazing yoga instrutor (http://www.yogagame.com/) came in and got the girl's doing some breathing, moving, playing, dancing and having fun! What a great thing for a group of girl's in the middle of winter, it was such a retreat! They had so much fun - I was secretly wishing I was participating in the exercise myself! The party was complete was a beautiful princess cake, this was surely every little girl's dream!
Thank you to the 'S family', for letting me be a part of your day! Happy Birthday! :)

my new studio!

i'm so excited!
a lot of you know i was on the hunt for a studio space that i could have as an alternative during the cold months (which it feels like, has been for a long time!) and i found a spot! it's a perfect space in a SUPER cool building right in the heart of the warehouse district. there is a friendly and funky coffee shop on the main floor that has awesome sandwiches, soups, pastries, etc. the coffee shop has live music all week long! http://www.yourcornercoffee.com/ it's a big place with lots of windows and couches to relax on and the best kid corner i've seen yet in a coffee shop (can you tell i'm just a little excited about the coffee shop?) but i think it's such a bonus for clients coming to the studio! anyhow, there are other artists and photographers in the building as well as shiatsu, architects, etc. it's a really neat space and so easy to find - it's close to sapor cafe if you've ever been there. here are a few shots of the space so you can visualize. i plan to run some mini sessions there coming soon so hopefully you'll come to see it!

pretty in pink

i just love photographing newborns, what a miracle. this new baby girl was so alert and curious for being just a few weeks old. it was such a joy to spend time with this new mom and her little daughter - and i could hardly which photos to post as we had so many gorgeous ones. welcome to the world baby m!

Tropical Getaway...

Where do Minnesotan's go to get a quick fix of warm weather when the winter has been so cold and long? The Como Park Conservatory! It's almost as good as going to Hawaii and much less expensive! Ok, only almost :)

I've been there nearly a half dozen times during our cold months of January and February and thought I'd post a few snapshots to get us thinking about warm and spring!
